What were your extracurricular activities in high school?
Did intramural sports, and clubs within

What are you studying, and what are your career goals?
I am studying finance at Carlson. My career goals are to work in high finance, such as private equity or hedge funds.
How do you stay involved on campus outside of the fraternity?
I stay involved on campus by taking part in intramural sports and clubs. I am currently in the U Finance Club and Private Market Groups Club.
What does Brotherhood mean to you personally?
Personally, brotherhood means supporting each other and being part of something bigger than yourself. Having friends around who support you means a lot to me and is a big reason why I enjoy being in Phi Psi.
Are there any goals you hope to accomplish before graduating?
Before graduating, I would like to have internship experience, get more involved in clubs and meet new people. I would also like to make a lot of memories in college that I will be able to look back on.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your first year, and how did you overcome it?
In my first year of college, the biggest challenge I faced so far was balancing everything. Getting enough sleep, good grades, meeting new people, being in a fraternity, and having a girlfriend have been a lot to manage. I overcame this challenge by accepting that I might not always be able to do everything I want and by staying flexible and maintaining a positive mindset.
How has the transition from high school to college been for you?
So far, it has been pretty good. I enjoy the independence of college, and I have always been self motivated so school has been good. My schedule this semester is a lot easier than my schedule in high school and I have had a lot more free time. It has been a big adjustment for me to be living alone and being more on my own financially, I am still figuring out how to balance my time and money.
What has been your favorite class or most interesting learning experience so far?
So far, my favorite class has been Business Ethics. I enjoy the lectures and finally learning about concepts that are applicable to the real life business world. I find a lot of the psychology behind it very interesting as well.
How has the scholarship impacted your first year of college?
This scholarship has positively impacted my first year of college, as I can put this money towards my dues. Being in college and not having a job right now, this scholarship really helps me be able to feel less stressed financially about not only my fraternity dues, but also some of my personal spending.
